Jaime Bedford, MD, FACS

Assistant Professor, surgery Dept Case Western University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH, Intensivist with teleCritical Care program Cincinnati VAMC.

Dr. Bedford serves veterans across the country as an intensivist (critical care physician) with the VA in Cincinnati, OH, providing critical support to rural locations and urban centers alike using technology. An alumna of Cedarville University, she completed medical school at Wright State and surgical residency/fellowship in Michigan with the Michigan State affiliated program in Grand Rapids. She now lives near her family in Northeast Ohio and is an avid outdoor enthusiast and maple sugarer. She is also super thrilled to be able to love on her bio and adopted nieces and nephews.


Session description:

Many physicians are unaware of the exceptional nature of their talents and the broad applicability of their skills to non-clinical settings. Physician burnout and abuse is real. By becoming aware of options outside of traditional medicine, avenues can be opened to provide alternate streams of income, alternate ways of applying our skillsets, and new and exciting ways to find job satisfaction and reduce the impact of the grind.
